Magswitch Technologies to Exhibit at Australian Steel Convention 2026

Magswitch Technologies is excited to announce its participation in the Australian Steel Convention 2026, taking place September 14–16 in Adelaide, South Australia. This event marks an important milestone for Magswitch as our first exhibition in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

Hosted by the Australian Steel Institute (ASI), the Australian Steel Convention brings together leaders from across the steel value chain to connect, exchange ideas and explore the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of the industry.

This year’s theme, “Capability, strength and resilience in a changing world,” will focus on strengthening Australian fabrication and manufacturing capability, investing in skills and innovation, improving supply chain resilience, and maintaining competitiveness in a rapidly changing global market.

Expanding Magswitch's Presence in APAC

Participating in the Australian Steel Convention represents more than another event on the Magswitch calendar. It is an important step in our continued growth and investment in the APAC region.

Magswitch Technologies was founded on innovative magnetic technology developed in Australia and has since grown into a global provider of magnetic solutions for material handling, fabrication, welding and industrial automation.

As we continue expanding our presence across Australia and the broader Asia-Pacific market, the Australian Steel Convention provides an ideal opportunity to reconnect with the industry, strengthen existing relationships and build new partnerships throughout the region.

Smarter Ways to Handle Steel

Steel handling is at the heart of what we do.

Magswitch patented switchable permanent magnet technology is designed to help manufacturers, fabricators and steel processors improve the way steel is lifted, moved, positioned and handled throughout their operations.

Unlike traditional electromagnets, Magswitch technology does not require continuous electrical power to maintain magnetic hold. Our solutions are designed to help reduce manual handling, improve productivity and create safer, more efficient processes across a wide range of steel applications.

From individual fabrication and welding tools to solutions for heavy lifting, material handling and robotic automation, Magswitch continues to develop technology that addresses real-world challenges faced by the steel industry.

Connecting with Australia's Steel Industry

The Australian Steel Convention brings together professionals from manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, construction and other areas of the steel supply chain.

The 2026 program will explore several issues directly impacting the future of Australian steel, including domestic manufacturing capability, technological innovation, global supply chains, sustainability, trade pressures and maintaining competitiveness.

These conversations closely align with Magswitch's focus on helping manufacturers and fabricators find safer, more productive and more efficient ways to handle steel.

We look forward to meeting with attendees, learning more about the challenges facing businesses throughout the region and demonstrating how Magswitch technology can support their operations.
