Do you like variety and challenge in your work? Do you live and breathe social media? Are you really good with a camera and staging photo-shoots and video shoots? Then this internship is for you! This is not a coffee-run internship; the intern will have the ability to apply marketing techniques from day 1 and use their creative skills to help further Magswitch Marketing strategy. It will afford the opportunity to be challenged, to contribute ideas, and to collaborate on building out a marketing program!

Flexible start date and hours but must work from office located in Lafayette. Position can potentially turn into a full-time job based on performance. Seniors preferred.

Job Purpose:

To assist Marketing and Communication Manager with day-to-day Marketing projects including, but not limited to, social media, content, graphic design, blogging, photography, videography, e-commerce etc.

Duties:

· Organize in-house and local photoshoots/videoshoots for Magswitch products.
· Create fun promos and content for social media.
· Assist in identifying influencers to promote and drive digital content.
· Write and support online campaigns including blogs, social media posts etc.
· Assist with driving social media content.
· Assist in creating flyers, brochures and other graphic design content.
· Assist in E-Commerce projects.

Skills/Qualifications:

· Undergraduate in Marketing or related course.
· Expert user of social media channels like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter etc.
· Experience editing photos, designing, editing etc on Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom or similar.
· Experience using a professional camera.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under deadlines.
· Independent, self-starter and a team player.

· SEO/Wordpress experience a plus!
· E-Commerce applications such as Shopify or E-Commerce experience a plus!

E-Commerce Specialist

Level/Salary Range: $40,000 to $50,000 per year + KPI Bonus

Are you fascinated with E-Commerce and online retail sales? Can you drive revenue for B2B and B2C customers? Do you like managing E-commerce accounts like Amazon.com, Home Depot.com etc? Then this is the job for you! Magswitch is expanding its E-Commerce business and is seeking an E-Commerce Specialist who is a self-starter, team player and ambitious! In addition to base Salary, package will include a Quarterly Bonus based on KPIs and revenue growth. Commencement within 2-4 weeks. With demonstrated competency and skill development, this position will grow into a management role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manage E-Commerce accounts for Magswitch such as Amazon.com, Home Depot.com, Mag-Tools.com, Grainger.com etc.
· Create consistent branding and content across all E-Commerce platforms.
· Drive E-Commerce revenue by understand our B2B and B2C customers.
· Monitor and manage E-Commerce marketing/advertising along with the Marketing Manager.
· Identify and expand/grow Magswitch E-Commerce channels globally.
· Report on E-Commerce performance including, but not limited to, revenue, customer acquisition, behaviors and recommend E-Commerce strategies.
· Research and market E-Commerce trends and forecast inventory, promotions etc.
· Monitor products in the E-commerce space and identify MAP violators.
· Create media promotional calendar, email marketing and social media marketing for E- Commerce channels.
· Maintain E-Commerce Budget.

SKILLS

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent of 3 to 4 years’ experience in an E- Commerce role.
· Experience with E-Commerce sales channels such as Amazon, Home Depot, Grainger required.
· Experience with E-Commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress etc.
· Knowledge and ability to setup and manage EDI on all platforms.
· Experience with Social Media Platforms.
· Experience with Email Marketing such as MailChimp
· Excellent research skills i.e. best fulfillment option, analyzing cost and margin etc.
· Understanding of Budgets, analytics tools etc.

R&D Engineering Intern

Magswitch is currently developing the cutting edge magnetic tooling products for the industrial automation environment while still innovating manual tools in the welding and woodworking industries. Current projects for industrial automation focus on electric tools with Industry 4.0 principles associated with the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) providing rich real time feedback to robots and PLCs to improve automated processes. https://magswitch.com/

Magswitch is looking to select 2-3 candidates to assist in prototype design, assembly of mechanical and electrical components, testing of prototype/pre-production tools, and documentation.

Requirements:

· Written and verbal communication skills
· Critical thinking required to identify and troubleshoot problems as issues arise
· Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes
· CAD Experience –  SolidWorks preferred
· Mechanical and/or electrical design and/or integration of magnetic circuits, sealed systems, electric motors, gearboxes, pneumatic actuators, hydraulic actuators, and others.
· Systems: Solidworks 2018, ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS Maxwell
· Develop standard operating procedures for assembly of new products
· Maintain and improve documentation of product data
· Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of broken / failed tools
· Fine attention to detail during assembly work –  Hydraulic Press, Soldering, Drilling, dremeling, and other minor modification work when necessary
· Project management and ownership of responsibilities involving project timelines, budgets, and resources
· Use of standard electronics lab test equipment
· Basic microcontroller and programming experience

This position has the potential for conversion to full time employment upon graduation. Magswitch also has a special interest in students with a second language to move to the country of the additional language upon graduation if Magswitch has a focus in that location.
